Stewardship

We are dedicated to the perpetual care of 291 conservation easements held by the Trust. BCRLT conducts a monitoring visit with each landowner on an annual basis. Members and volunteers are crucial to this annual monitoring effort. Working with the Stewardship Director and the Executive Director, a crew of local volunteers assists with monitoring 53,600 acres across six counties. Given the expanse of acreage and varied uses of the land, the continued stewardship of BCRLT’s conservation easements is an important part of the Trust’s activities. Finally, BCRLT strives to establish a rapport with each of its landowners to accommodate their individual needs.
